EGO

Your first introduction to Self.

The I and Me of likes and dislikes, the Wills and Wants of when and where, the stubborn Twists and Turns you make to makes things right, according to you - and the world. As the big E says,"It's my way or the highway!" And it truly is....until it isn't.

Ego knows he's limited, mediocre at best. But mediocre (self-made) is what the world praises, and that pat on the back keeps I and Me safe and tight. Anxious for more, fearful of less. And all was well...until it wasn't.

The Catch 22. An impossible situation where you cannot do one thing until you do another thing, but you cannot do the second thing until you do the first thing. Ego was stuck. He doesn't do "Impossible". That was Soul's territory, the part of I and Me that Ego kept hidden, until now. A decision had to be made - Ego or Soul?

Choosing Soul would require Faith: a belief in something greater than Ego....a Hope in Someone who could unleash the impossible, the promise and the purpose of I and Me. Lofty and Intuitive as that may sound, I knew it was what I wanted most. The deepest longing of my heart. And so it was....I let go.

Ego was my first introduction to Self which led me to the second, most important introduction to my True Self - the God created one. For that, I and Me will be eternally grateful.
