Not too much. Not too little. Just enough to know you are not alone. Pause.
It's not the norm. Our human nature is to pull back from anything that threatens our control over what we think, we know, we want. It's our game of thrones, our struggle for power over the unknown. Yet, in the midst of the trials of ego, there is a lean. An inclination to do something out of your ordinary. To Lean.
It's a bit unnerving at first. To hear something without voice, feel something without touch, see something without proof. Yet curiosity, like a child, leads us on. To bend. To listen. To hear the voice of God. In visions, like Samuel. In dreams, like David. In prayers, like Mary. In circumstances, like next door. In your mind, imagination, and beyond, God speaks.
Lean in. Intentionally, in spite of risk or difficulty. Ask God His thoughts and perspective on what’s going on in your life. His desires for you and your family. His provision for your needs. His love, mercy, and forgiveness for what should've, would've, could've been better.
Then Lean on. Know the Truth of who you are, your value to the kingdom, and your gift to the world. If you need Wisdom (in any given moment) just ask, and you will receive. It's the way of the Kingdom, how Love works here on earth as it is in Heaven. To love. To lean.
Not too much, not too little. Just enough to know you are not alone.
Bless.

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
