COMMUNICATE

Not too much, but not too little. Not in my face, but be honest. Not so far away, I can't hear you. Too close for comfort, get away. "Communicate" is something we humans do a lot of, just not well.
I would like to pride myself in saying I communicate well but I can't, there have been too many words come back to haunt me. The story is so cliche - you either say the right words at the wrong time, or the wrong words at the right time, all with (what you thought was) the Hand of Jesus on you! I'm laughing now, but in the moment it's never funny. Pause.
To be heard. That's why we try so hard to communicate. We want to be heard. That's all. The best case study I know is Jesus. He came to earth to try and communicate Love and even (all) knowing "the steps to", "the tips for" and the "secret parables of" successful communication, His closest friends still didn't understand what He was trying to say. It was either too much, too little, in your face or not close enough. Some left, some stayed, but the Plan was never altered.
That's the point. God's Plan for you, for me, for the world, doesn't change just because people don't understand (or we screw up) a conversation. Understanding is God's job and He puts it in the hearts of "those who have ears to hear". That may take a time or two, but understanding is not our responsibility. It's God's. Still pray about hard conversations, but don't stress over the outcome. If it's bad, "God turns mourning into dancing." (Psalm 30:11). If it's good, "Praise the Lord, oh my soul! (Psalm 103:1)".
Everything will work together to accomplish whatever God is doing. You can let it go.
Bless.
