UNCOMFORTABLE

Updated: Jan 27

Tight jeans. The color pink. Lace, in general. Fast cars. Fast anything. Being watched. Waiting. Silence. Critical people. That's Uncomfortable. It may not be for you, but it is for me which makes my definition valid - real.

The problem with Uncomfortable is that it never knocks. You never know It's coming. One day you open the door and instead of being ok with "it", for some reason, you're not. Tight jeans is now saying you'll never have that body again. Pink and lace are now the bullies in the corner, rolling their eyes, thinking poor thing can't pull it off . Fast car says you are no fun anymore. Silence doesn't speak because there's no need - his disapproval comes through loud and clear. Uncomfortable embraces critical as if they were BF's and your emotional world is neatly dismantled.

The feeling of being uncomfortable is ok, only if you are."We have to belong to ourselves as much as we need to belong to others. True belonging doesn't require you to change who you are; it requires to be who you are". Brene Brown/Atlas of the Heart Oh, how true. It's ok to be ok with who you are. "Acceptance is the ability to unconditionally value all parts of who you are. That means you acknowledge all of yourself - the good and the things that need improvement." Lolly Daskal, President and CEO, Lead From Within.

PAUSE for my Uncomfortable to process that

My deepest of deep - that place I unknowingly and knowingly go in search of Love and acceptance - belongs to God. Weird how I can just type that and be ok with the uncomfortable! My very existence was His idea, His desire, and His doing. It's where I belong. It's where all things work in my favor. It's where Peace settles in the chaos and I know all is well.

Bless.
